Ninotte Lubin, Founder and Director of Grace Community Birth Center

You, our community of supporters, understand the many reasons to contribute to GCBC, but a unique one came to us recently from Martine Jean-Baptiste, Founder/Executive Director of the Foundation for Advancement of Haitian Midwives (FAHM). Ms. Jean-Baptiste, also a midwife, tells us that:

"Grace Community Birth Center will be Haiti's only Haitian founded, owned and operated birth center. Ninotte Lubin is a true inspirational visionary who believes that strong, thriving societies are created and rooted in how one enters the world, is nurtured, respected and cared for. GCBC is a safe haven based on research which indicates that community health and wellness has a positive, direct link to sustainable, long term economic growth and development. Healthy communities start pre-conception and must continue to be cultivated in order to become thriving communities. GCBC does this by offering evidence-based, stellar community education and high-quality, respectful health care services.”

All donations received by May 5 will be matched up to $30,000 thanks to the generosity of Kathi and Craig Mulder and two anonymous donors. We hope you will join these generous spirits and donate now:

If you would like to donate by check, please make it out to ‘Bay Eye Charitable Foundation’ with a note that it is intended for Grace Community Birth Center and mail it to Grace Community Birth Center, 530 W. 11th Street, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
