Nou te beni - We have been blessed!
Friends and Supporters of Grace Community Birth Center, it is with hearts full of gratitude that we share that we have indeed been blessed by TWO very generous donations from Kathi and Craig Mulder and another couple who wish to remain anonymous. The couples are each donating $15,000 FOR A TOTAL OF $30,000, with an opportunity to match up to an additional $30,000!!!
The crew is at work in Haiti on the birth center and by fall families will be receiving safe, effective prenatal to postpartum midwifery care in their community, more young people will benefit from health education, the women's loan program will have the support needed to continue to grow, and there will be space for another midwife.
Ninotte Lubin, Midwife and Director of Grace Community Birth Center, has had a vision born out of love and passion for the families of her community and she has been dogged in her persistence toward achieving safe, peaceful pregnancy and births; providing youth with supports to achieve their goals; and giving woman in the community extra financial opportunity. Ninotte is living proof that one person can change the world!
The work of GCBC will be greatly lifted by these 4 donors and the opportunity to match this donation, so please consider sharing what you can by May 5 which is International Day of the Midwife.
If you would like to donate by check, please make it out to ‘Bay Eye Charitable Foundation’ with a note that it is intended for Grace Community Birth Center and mail it to Grace Community Birth Center, 530 W. 11th Street, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
