As of August 2021, our building fund stands at $136,000. We are currently using a goal of $150,000 while we get construction documents and cost estimates based on the current costs of building materials. The birth center will supplement the the open air education facility Ninotte uses for prenatal and postpartum care and for her educational and community work.
In addition to the building fund, our current operational costs are about $20,000 annually and those will rise to more than $50,000 with the full operation and staffing of the birth center.
Grace Community Birth Center operates with an all-volunteer board and our administrative costs for operation are primarily PayPal and wire transfer fees. When you donate to GCBC, your money is going directly to Haitian women, babies, and families in need.
